This won't be the only art near the library... (Sculpture by Jerome Stein, photo by Allen Ouimet.)

Call for Artists
The Brass Ball will include a non-juried art show open to anyone who wants to exhibit—no fee and no advance registration required. Artists should bring their work and whatever is needed to display it to the library patio, which will serve as our art gallery. Let us know before the event if you require any special arrangements. Other ideas about ways to include your art at the Brass Ball? Contact us.

Iron Painter
It's a competitive painting free-for-all. Contestants are given a subject to paint on the quick and the judges declare a winner. Grueling.

Weatherproof Art Project
In a fit of rain-or-shine optimism, we got 200 umbrellas —red ones, floral ones, green-and-white ones, pink ones with ducks, embroidered, printed with knockoff Burberry plaid, leopard fur, snakeskin, checks, puppies — you check the idea. (If not , see the photos.) Now we're calling on artists to help us put them to good use. The umbrellas will be available on the patio. Do something creative with one — decorate, deconstruct, whatever — and we'll display it.

The Dada Pavilion
Doug Danger of Skye Cable's series Dada T.V. brings you this dadaist video art extravaganza. Bring your own funny or strange video to add to the collage. Duchamp would be proud.
